This is how this painting came to me. The name of Red Queen is inspired by the second part of Alice in Wonderland: On the other Side of the Mirror.

The concept of the Red Queen is a neo-Darwinian thought: when a dominating species has reached a summit in their evolution, it stops because it no longer has challengers and will ultimately be surpassed by others who do not stop their evolution. |
